1. How much do you know about the world, the country, your state, or your neighborhood? Draw a map and label it with place names, questions, or comments. Why is it important for you to know about the place you live? What does it tell you about yourself?
2. Draw a floorplan of your house. You can comment on how you’ve decorated it, why you’ve made those decisions, what projects you have in mind, etc. Validate the work you have done and want to do. Record this time in your life.
Example: This journaler choose to do a floorplan of her childhood home, labling several places and adding a memory about each one.
3. Where do you belong? Make a drawing, collage, or list of places you belong. Where do you feel comfortable? What makes this place ideal for you? Where are the places in the past where you have felt at home? Can you make it to these places? Is where you live now where you belong?
Example: This spread is a collage of where the journaler feels at home now, as a child, and where she wants to be at home in the future. Mostly just pleasing images of comforting places.
